show buffers

Displays buffer usage for the current module. Note that this command does not show buffer

usage for the control module.

The fields are described as follows:

Field Description

index[0] The chassis ID.

index[1] The slot ID.

index[2] The interface ID of the module.

index[3] The logical port ID of the module.

Buffer Pool Size The total number of memory buffers for the module. The total

equals the sum of the allocated buffers and available buffers.

Buffer Allocated The total number of memory allocated memory buffers.

Buffer Available The total number of available (free) memory buffers.
